New Seasons always come - Let the Old go

It's an assuring reminder to me that seasons always, always come to an end and a new one brings changes and new beginnings.

With that though, you can’t keep bringing the “things” from the old seasons into the next ones. Your home only has so much capacity! Your mental ability to perceive, embrace and ENJOY the new season is greatly enhanced when the past clutter is gone.

Look around your home, how much is there that is an ode to distant days? Do you have children’s stuff that they have outgrown? Textbooks from your school days? Stuff inherited from grandparents and/or mom and dad. Hobbies once pursued and now moved on from? Do you have stuff that you envisioned would be part of your life but actually wasn’t you? The dish setting for 12 but do you rarely seat more than 4? Games on the shelf not played. Books bought with good intentions but never read?

Begin to evaluate what is taking up space from an old season and Donate, Recycle or Trash it and make room for possibilities.

An empty space is a beautiful, fresh space to mentally untangle and breathe in.
